Rabbit Glass Relief

Over the past few months, I've been working on glass sculptures and have been creating new reliefs. I've enjoyed experimenting with different frit sizes and various sheet glasses.

The glass casting process is incredible for transforming raw materials into beautiful glass art. I start with a wax sculpture and create a mold following the lost wax casting method. I then carefully arrange and layer the glass within the mold. The mold is then placed inside a kiln and heated to high temperatures, allowing the glass to melt and flow into the desired shape. The glass solidifies as the temperature drops, capturing the intricate details and textures of the sculpture. This delicate process requires patience, expertise, and a thorough understanding of the behavior of glass under heat, resulting in stunning and unique glass works.
