This work is a consolidation of learnings, in process, material, and exploring what creates oneself. These pieces serve as a visual exploration portraying my journey of resilience and perseverance. These animals portray the moments in life that alter and shape us—reminding us to embrace the balance between vulnerability and strength. The figures reflect transformative moments, finding solace in the understanding that even in times of shattered vulnerability, we possess the strength to rebuild and emerge stronger than ever. Glass is a material that can easily break, embodying the vulnerability and fragility of the human experience. However, glass can be transformed into something new, symbolizing the potential for growth and resilience. The metal and stone signify empowering grounding moments when we rise above hardship. Reflecting the adaptability of oneself in these pivotal moments, the artwork acknowledges the ongoing evolution and growth of finding one’s identity. Such as these pieces it is an ongoing process.
