Jazmin Novak: After the Dark, Before the Light
This exhibition explores grief as a layered and ongoing experience. Grief is not a single emotion—it is a combination of memory, absence, and continued connection. Each sculpture reflects aspects of mourning and the effort to keep going. Rather than offering resolution, the work holds space for both sorrow and resilience. Natural materials ground the pieces, offering quiet moments of reflection and rest. In making this work, I sought to honor what was, and to hold space for what follows. After the Dark, Before the Light invites viewers to consider grief not as an end, but as part of a continuing process of change and healing.
